FAQs:
1. What's Adopt a Family?
Adopt-A-Family is a community initiative through which you can support a family in need during this holiday season. Families who are homeless, or live under the poverty line are “sponsored” by others in the community. Our goal is to fundraise enough money to make this a wonderful holiday season for our adopted family!
2. Who is in our Adopt a Family?
Our family consists of a mother, three young children, and a disabled young woman. All four are currently homeless and are temporarily living in a motel. Each requested a winter jacket in anticipation of the cold winter to come. South Brunswick has already seen snowfall 2 times in the past few months, and we hope to supply our family with as much winter gear as possible before the holidays! Again, they’re not asking for much, but the more donations we receive the more we will be able to gift our family with the gifts they requested and more!
3. How Can I Help?
The list of items needed are below, and we would greatly appreciate any all donations. The item donations will be donated and the $5 donations will be combined to purchase a grocery gift card for the family. All of these $5 donations are eligible for our pie-an-officer campaign, so don't forget to write the name of the officer you are donating to in your envelope! These $5 donations may be handed to any officers or directly to the advisors in Room 207 or Room 308. The pieing will happen after winter break in January!
Each of us are incredibly lucky during this holiday season, but this family really needs our help! They are asking for necessities for survival so please donate anything you can! Your donation is much appreciated. If you have any questions, please email [email protected] or directly contact an officer.
